Since inception, Fechim members have met every month, principally to deliver their monthly contributions and discuss trends in the market, as they bonded into an effective and focused team. At the January meeting each year, they would appraise the Company performance, review the monthly contributions and agree on the amount that each member would contribute per month that year.  This resulted in increased rate of growth of capital.

 

Since incorporation in 1994, the Company has always had quarterly Board meetings, the Annual General Meetings and some Extra Ordinary General Meetings as needed. The annual accounts have always been audited in good time and a competent Company Secretary has filed the annual returns with the Registrar of Companies every year as required by the statutes.

1. Mr. Eshban C N Githiaka, FCIS, MKIM, FIMgt, CPA(K) , CPS(K), 63, Chairman.

 
Githiaka is a founder member and Chairman of Fechim Investments Limited. He is a businessman and a renowned consultant in the areas of Corporate Planning, Investment, Financial, Quality and Project Management.

Currently the Finance Director for The Nairobi Hospital, Mr Githiaka is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and Chartered Institute of Management (UK) and is a Member of Kenya Institute of Management, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (K) and Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (K).
 

                                 
 2. Mr. Mwai wa Kihu, B. Tech, MBA, FKIM, 57, Chief Executive Officer.


Mwai is a founder member and Chief Executive Officer of Fechim Investments Limited. He is an experienced investment and management consultant. He is the founder and CEO of Kenya Productivity Institute, a Management and Training consultancy firm. 


He is a Board Member of Retirement Benefits Authority; Council Member, Association of Professional Societies of East Africa (APSEA), a Fellow and Life Member of Kenya Institute of Management; Board Member, Agricultural Business Development (ABD), a DANIDA/GoK Programme; Member, Institute of Directors; Life Member, Kenya-India Friendship Association, (KIFA), Member, Institute of Economic Affairs and the East African Kennel Club.
 


3. Dr. C K Wagaiyu, MBS, BDS, MSc, FDS, RCS, 56, Non-Executive Director

 

Wagaiyu is a founder member and director of Fechim Investments Limited. He is a leading dental specialist in Restorative Dentistry and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He is a Member and Vice-Chairman of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board of Kenya. In December 2004, he was awarded Moran of Burning Spear (MBS) in recognition of his service to the nation.
 
 
 
 
 
 

                                  

4.Eng. Julius Barare Okara, B Tech, 67, Non-Executive Director

Eng Julius Okara, joined the Board of Fechim Investments Limited on January 1, 2006. He is the Founder and Chairman of Express Communication Ltd (ECL). He is a renowned business consultant with wide ranging experience in Aviation, National and International Civil Service. Eng Okara is also a Member of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Board.

 

 

 

 

 


5. Dr. Robert K Kabugi, MBCHB, 57, Non-Executive Director

 

Kabugi joined the Board of Fechim Investments Limited on January 1, 2006. He is a prominent general medical practitioner and founder/proprietor of Nyeri Medical Centre. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from Nairobi University. He worked with the government for over a decade as a clinician and hospital administrator before setting up his private practice.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

6. Ms. P. Wangui Irimu, MA Gender & Development Studies (UoN), MA Environmental studies (York University, Canada), BA (UoN), 52, Non-Executive Director

 

Ms. Irimu is a development worker and consultant currently working for the International Labour Organisation in charge of child labour programme in Kenya.

She holds Master degrees in Gender and Development Studies (UoN) and in Environmental studies from York University Canada as well as BA (Hons) from the University of Nairobi. She is heavily involved in community work and holds various leadership positions in various community groups and schools. Wangui is also a member of the Kenya Institute of Management.
 
 

 
7. Dr. Mwangi Ngumo, MKIM, 55, Non-Executive Director

 

Dr. Mwangi joined Fechim Investment Limited on April 1, 2009 and became a non-executive director on July 18, 2009. He is the immediate former Executive Director of the Kenya Institute of Management

2. Mr. Muiruri Mburu, BBM, CPA, CSIA, 26, Accountant.

 

Muiruri joined the Fechim Investment Limited on March 1, 2008 as Accountant. He has Bachelor of Business Management degree from Moi University, Eldoret and is a qualified Accountant and a Certified Securities and Investments Analyst.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Mr. Cyrus Gichoya Ngirigacha, Dip. BMgt, 27, Office Assistant.

 

Cyrus joined Fechim Investment Limited in 2007. He has Diploma in Business Management; Association of Business Executives, ABE UK.
